Ps4 update has enough space but wont download

Try restarting your PS4. If that doesn't work delete the updates and download them one by one. If both of those don't work, I'm not entirely sure what the problem is as I've never experienced.  · If you're trying to download a game, or even just an update for a game you already have installed, your PS4 might tell you there's not enough free space in system www.doorway.ruted Reading Time: 4 mins.  · ‘Not Enough Space’ bug - PS4. Log In. Export. XML Word Printable. Details. Type: Bug however since the ‘New Minecraft’ update I have been unable to download any of these packs nor use them in my new minecraft worlds. The notification says its because I don't have enough free space but stuff like the latest rocket league update or even small games I am no longer able to download. PS4 won't power on after Anthem crash. My PS4 keeps saying there's not enough space to download a 15gb game, but storage space management says otherwise. Again I already have 44GB free. The download is just MB. Why is the PS4 asking me to free 20GB on top of the 44GB free space? It's not all that too. Fortnite asked me to free 10GB a few days ago with the same free space already on my PS4. It's kind of hard to say I'm reading the free space wrong when the PS4 tells me that. My HDD by the way. I bought Minecraft on my PS4 and have previously made in game purchases before that were fine. I recently bought currency and used it to purchase a game called Pets Collection and it's in my inventory but it won't download as it says there's not enough space on my PS4 system.

The ps4 needs enough space for the game and update for an update the only problem is I have more than enough for the game and update and it still won't let me it makes no sense. You need the size of the game + the patch size free, it's the way the PS4 works as it's making a backup incase it corrupts. The PS4 won't actually let you use all the "free" space, some portion is reserved for system usage. For instance, right now I have 32 GB free but I had to uninstall something small earlier today to download the 2 GB FFXV update. So it's a MB download. But that will be totaled with + GB when you factor in ALL the downloads you ever made for that title. This is what the PS4 will count, rather than the measly MB. You'll probably have to clear an extra 10GB of space to make up 80GB at least. It's a joke, frankly.
